    my story 2022. 10. 31. 13:37

an unbelievable accident occurred in Itaewon. the day before yesterday.

i stayd up all nigt checkin the news in real time.

the Itaewon Halloween festival, the first in three years since covid-19, attracted 100,000people a massive crush acciden occurred.

there are currently 154 deaths (including 26 foreigners) and 149injured.

about 20 to 30 of the injured are seriously injured and are very likely to die.

it is a very unfortunate disaster that has resulted in more than 200 casualties.

there are a lot of people mocking this case, people making hate speech.

why should those people be subject to criticism?

people living in the seoul meropolitan area have enjoyed festivals or been there at least once in Itawon on halloween day as a young people

They also wanted to release their youth that had been suppressed since COVID-19
It was just young boys and girls who went to enjoy the festival with excitement.

Also, there are people who say this is not a national disaster.
This accident is a national disaster. Human resources also belong to disasters, and more than 200 people were killed and injured.
This accident will remain an accident that we must remember in the future, and a memorial procession continues around the world. How can it not be a disaster when it will continue to be talked about in history and the accident has made it clear what needs to be changed?
Everyone may have had to pass by to go home, and they may not have thought that there would be such a tight crowd from the beginning.
I think it's a big problem that Itaewon itself has not been meticulous and careful about personnel control or staffing, even though there have already been enough risks since a few years ago. (There was more police force and control in 2017 when 200,000 people gathered.)
In short, the scale of control was too small for festivals where control must have been.
Of course, the responsibility may be ambiguous because the subject of the event is not clear, but it is definitely a national disaster

I think the heart we should have in the situation of a disaster was just an unfortunate accident that could happen to my family, and I think it is a heart of comforting and mourning for the casualties and bereaved families.
